You're Likely Not Eating Sushi Right

You may feel a slight sense of pride being able to pick up every bit of a nice sushi dinner with chopsticks. Well, you may also be embarrassing yourself at the same time. In Japan, it is tradition to eat nigiri with your hands. Sashimi, however, should be eaten with chopsticks. It is also bad form to mix your little hunk of wasabi into a soupy mixture with your soy sauce. According to Sushi Roku executive chef Hiroshi Shima, as reported by the Seattle Times, "No wasabi in your soy sauce because the sushi chef already put it on the sushi for you." So, have you been eating sushi wrong?
