Why Did Russia Build Military-Themed Patriot Park For Children?

Opened in 2015, Patriot Park just outside of Moscow seems like a warmongers Disneyland—or a propaganda move by Vladimir Putin. Apparently, there is concern that the youth of Russia has become disillusioned by their government and country. In an attempt to reel them back in,this park is meant to reinstate patriotic pride in Russian children. The hope for the Russian government is that thousands of children will visit the park every day to watch war reenactments, play extreme sports, shoot guns, and launch missiles. The government believes it will work too: when the park is complete in 2017, it will have an estimated cost of 370 million dollars.
