To the average person, the name "Heisenberg" probably brings to mind one of two ideas: either Bryan Cranston's character in the hit AMC TV show "Breaking Bad," or something about an uncertainty principle. But what is Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, and who the heck is Heisenberg? The principle's namesake would be 117 years old this week, so we thought explaining his groundbreaking concept with a catchy name would be a fitting tribute.
