How is this affecting our vision? According to a recent large-scale poll, about 65% of American adults suffer digital eye strain. Symptoms include irritated eyes, blurred vision, headaches, and neck or back pain. To combat digital eye strain, optometrists recommend the 20-20-20 rule: For every 20 minutes you stare at a screen, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
