How can you be sure that the past really happened? How can you be sure that everything you know didn't just pop into existence last week. This is the core idea behind something called Last Thursdayism, the belief that the universe was created last Thursday. In order for something to be a theory, it must be possible to prove it wrong. Therefore, Last Thursdayism falls into the realm of philosophy.
