The world's largest nudist colony is the size of a small city. The population of the naturist village Cap d'Agde in France swells up to 40,000 people during the summer months. The people here don't wear clothes, as clothing is prohibited per the belief that nudity is a symbol of equality. The village has more than 180 businesses, a marina, and a stretch of beach that measure 1.2mi (2km) long. Though tourists may come here in the assumption that lewd acts are the norm, that is not the case. The village is meant to be completely family-friendly.
