The Truth About The Tyrannosaurus Rex

The Tyrannosaurus Rex was one of the biggest, baddest, most formidable predators of the dinosaur era—right? Well, as it turns out, these carnivorous creatures may not have been the staggering, upright giants portrayed in movies like Jurassic Park. In fact, new research shows that the T.Rex was likely bent in an almost completely horizontal angle, and was adorned with fluff and feathers in addition to its storybook green scaly skin. And while it's height and size could vary greatly, at its biggest it's believed the T.Rex could have weighed up to 7 tons, or 14,000 pounds. That's a pretty serious animal to avoid when hungry.

So what else do we know about the mighty T.Rex? Throughout the decades, much about the infamous dinosaur ruler has been discovered and debunked, with so much left yet to learn. Check out this playlist to learn more about how the T.Rex mated, who discovered this tyrannical species and what we've learned based on new evidence.
