The spider and the fly math problem can be solved using geometry and Pythagorean's theorem. Here is the problem: There is a room measuring 12x12x30 ft. A spider is in the middle of one wall and one foot above the floor. A fly is in the middle of the opposite wall and one foot below the ceiling. What is the shortest route the spider can take to reach the fly?
