The October 17, 2016 episode of "The Price Is Right" was quite a thrill. At the end of the game show, all three contestants took to the famous Big Wheel to try to spin for a total of $1. Incredibly, each one hit the $1 mark in two spins. Some luck, huh? Matthew Zaremsky, visiting assistant professor of mathematics at Cornell University, did the math for Mic and figured that the odds of this happening are 1 in 8,000. Now here's something crazy — or maybe not crazy at all, considering statistics: As of October 17 there had been about 8,000 episodes of the show. But what about your odds of winning the lottery?
