Musician John Lennon

John Lennon was born October 9, 1940. Lennon and Paul McCartney made up what is widely considered one of the best songwriting partnerships in musical history. When asked what the best lyrics he ever wrote was, Lennon replied, "That's easy. 'All you need is love.'"
