Scientific Principles In Action Every Day

Science is the study of the world around us, from geology to zoology, and from physics to chemistry. The word "science" comes from the Latin "scientia," which translates as "knowledge." It's fitting that the two words are related in this way, since science is at the very root of everything we have learned, and everything we still have to learn, about our planet and ourselves.

For centuries, scientists have sought to make sense of how and where we live, seeking out patterns and behaviors, creating hypotheses, and testing them to see if they hold water. Once proven, these become a part of the scientific rules or principles which are known to govern the world that we live in, and a part of our day-to-day lives. These aren't lab experiments; this is science in action, the kind of rules you can observe around you every single day.
