Would you ever consider living completely off the grid? The idea of living totally free of taxes and bills may sound tempting, but it's tough imaginable a practical way of carrying out such a lifestyle. The Ecocapsule aims to be the solution. This self-sustaining, bubble-like home is compact, mobile, and it runs completely on renewable energy. It is the result of an effort by a group of Slovak architects. The total price of the Ecocapsule is about $85,700 (€79,000), plus taxes and shipping. The egg-shaped homes were available for pre-order in late 2015, and are said to be delivered in 2016. However, there were only 50 Ecocapsules available for purchase at that time.
