Jai Alai

Jai alai hails from the Basque region of Spain. Allegedly, it began when a village boy played handball against a church wall with his mother's wicker basket back in the 1800s. Today, it's hard to find a place to play the sport in the U.S., though it's still prevalent in certain European and Latin American countries.
