Henry VIII's Strange Possessions

Henry VIII, born June 28, 1491, was a musician, composer, and collector of many musical instruments. His personal stash was kept at Westminster Palace in London, where they were maintained by the "Keeper of the King's Instruments." The collection contained 1547 instruments, including bagpipes made of purple velvet with ivory pipework.
