Built on Chrome's JavaScript runtime, Node.js is a platform for building very scalable apps. Node.js has gained popularity because it's quick, efficient, and not just for computer whizzes. Not to mention, Node.js also works great for real-time scenarios with a lot of data with speed requirements.
