Nikola Tesla, born July 10, 1856 in present-day Croatia, is most well-known for his contribution to the alternating current system of electricity distribution used today. However, many conspiracy theorists believe Tesla had other futuristic inventions already worked out. Right before he died in 1943, rumors spread that Tesla perfected an otherworldly powerful weapon, the "death beam." It is also believed that Tesla had figured out how to provide free energy worldwide, accessible by anyone on Earth who stuck a stake in the ground.
